Prior to graduating from law school in 1980, Ms. Fluhr worked
as a paralegal for Community Legal Services (CLS) in Philadelphia. Upon
completion of law school she returned to CLS, where she spent the first four
years of her career as a staff attorney. Ms. Fluhr subsequently created a solo
practice concentrating in Social Security claims. She and Sanjuanita González
then formed the partnership, Fluhr & González, combining their expertise related
to Social Security issues. They joined Emily Cohen in forming Cohen, Fluhr &
González, P.C. in 1999.
Ms. Fluhr has lectured on matters pertaining to Social Security for the
Pennsylvania Bar Institute, the National Organization of Social Security
Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and for the Dickinson School of Law of the
Pennsylvania State University. She also served as an attorney trainer for the
Philadelphia Bar Association's Volunteers for the Indigent Program helping to
prepare advocates for SSI claimants.
